On Sunday 8th October at the Engine House, Prayer Room, we will be inviting guest speakers Dorothy Mendez from the A21 Campaign, and Naomi Bruce from Bringing Freedom to talk, share, and present information about the work of A21, learn of survivors’ stories, the facts and what we can do to help make a difference in our communities. Dorothy and Naomi will also be chatting about the Walk For Freedom Walk coming up on Saturday 14th October in Truro.
Walk For Freedom is a global awareness event, rallying tens of thousands of people, taking millions of steps, in hundreds of cities all over the world. We walk to disrupt the existence of slavery, shaking its very foundation with each step.
Walk For Freedom, is a walk for justice and human dignity. A walk for hope and restoration. We will abolish slavery with each step. Let’s never forget that we don’t just say it–we believe it. A world without slavery is possible. While human trafficking is destroying lives, we know that freedom will have the final word.
