We are pleased to announce this year’s annual Cornwall HOPEWALK!
HOPEWALK is PAPYRUS’ flagship event which takes place each October across the UK to mark World Mental Health Month and to raise awareness for PAPYRUS.
All of us here in the PAPYRUS England South Team and Truro office would like to invite friends, colleagues and volunteers to join us on our walk this year to raise awareness for young suicide prevention and spread the message of hope as we pass through Falmouth. Some people choose to raise funds, others choose to walk in memory of a loved one, and many simply join us to support this important cause with our goal being to raise awareness of our helpline HOPELINE247.
Whatever brings you to walk with us, our main aim is to get the conversation around suicide started.
Please feel free to bring friends, family members and colleagues, the more the merrier!
What is HOPEWALK?
PAPYRUS launched HOPEWALK 10 years ago, around World Mental Health Awareness Day on October 10th 2013. The goal of the HOPEWALK is to #SmashTheStigma and get the conversation around suicide started.
When is Cornwall’s HOPEWALK?
Saturday 5th October 11am – 13.00.
Where?
Falmouth Event Square, Port Pendennis, Falmouth TR11 3XA to begin our walk, with he walk ending approximately 11:45 am at The Moor, Falmouth, TR11 3QA.
This year, we’d like to warmly invite you to meet us at the start to collect merchandise to take on our HOPEWALK, and to hear a few words from our team and lovely volunteers about the significance of this annual event.
Refreshment: Following the walk, you are welcome to come back to LOVEPark Skate park, 4 Berkely Vale, Falmouth, TR11 3PH to join us for teas, coffees, and biscuits.
